Default sway bar disconnected...wtf

So I was changing my oil the other day and I noticed that my sway bar is not connected to anything on my front driver side. WTF? The part that it's attached to on the other side....doesnt exist on the driver side. How could this have happened? Could it just fall off or something? help please

Sounds like your endlink broke. It can happen (I sold an old set of mine to a board member because his broke). You can get replacements at most auto parts stores or from one of our fine sponsors.

~$20 for the pair. Can you take pictures of it, to show what's missing? I'm guessing it could be the end link, but without seeing it, it's hard to say.

Don'"t forget to install four new yellow bushings that cushin the end links on each side (8 in total). If your end links busted, the yellow bushings and busted links are in a ditch somewhere "bye" the side of the road.

So I am pretty sure its the endlink that broke off......Is it worth a little extra cash to replace all the endlinks with better quality ones? I was thinking about just ordering something like this:

The poly end links will deflect less than a rubber bushing. This will typically make the sway bar behave as if it were slightly stiffer than stock (due to less bushing deflection). This is more important for the frame (or axle on the rear) bushings that hold the bar, but poly endlinks will also remove some slop from the bars action. They also use much stronger hardware than the stock version, it's worth the upgrade.

I use a MOOG endlinks on the road race car, available at almost all chain parts stores for under $20 a pair.

MOOG uses a poly bushing, like trackbird describes.
