FWIW....There's a guy on the other board that KEPT breaking them. He was at the track, would start his burnout, set the line lock, then had a BAD wheel hop issue then BAM, there goes the TA... he went thru three of them...

Not a UMI though... just so everyone knows. Wheel hop is terrible for any torque arm, once it starts you need to gab the clutch or let off the throttle. If you stay in it (which alot do) you are bound to break something.

wow. i just found my new suspension company. thats crazy that you replaced that for him if he is a second owner almost all companys void thiers warrenty if your not the original owner.you guys are one great company.

Anyone know if that was that a Chromolly piece?

It was a mild steel one built out of 0.120" x 1.250" DOM tubing. I can tell because we have the original owners name and by the MIG welds.

i have umi's weld in 2pt subframe conectors and thier single adj. lower control arms, and in early spring their TA and phr

umi is great

Did he damage the universal joint at the differential?

I would def. replace it regardless.....

thats a perfect example of torque failure, it literally had a clean break. Umi gets my vote when they finish that A4 torque arm.
