Default best "affordable" Rotors/Pads combo?

I'm not looking for a bigger brake kit or anything by any means, something that will be better than the stock blanks that love to warp ...

need some hints...

saw some front/rear slotted/drilled and axxis pads or whatever for like 300 but know nothing about their products

something reasonably priced that won't make me feel as if I should have just bought a brake conversion kit instead for a few bucks more

i got the cheap rotoworks kit and hawks pad kit at ws6store i was hesitant about the rotors since they were so cheap but i like them they look good, brake smooth, and when you bush the brake hard they really stop good.. definatly a good deal.

I'm installing my Brembo blanks, Hawk pads, and Stainless lines today. I'll let you know how it is after.

how would those compare to say... this?

probably same price either way, with a bit less towards the pads i guess... no experience with hawks pads though

Brembo OEM (not drilled or slotted) and Hawk HPS pads. Effective, reasonably priced and they WORK, and work well.

The Brembo blanks that you mention are WONDERFUL. They are cast with better metal quality than some of the chinese rotors you can buy today. They do not warp near as quick as stock rotors. When you add the Hawk HPS pads, you have a GREAT combination.

IIRC the rotors are about $60 each on tirerack.com and the pads are about $80 on tirerack.com also. For $200 you can't get any better.

Listen to trackbird, he knows what he is talking about.

Good deal Mine should be here today. I just got slotted ones. I hear that drilled crack easy. And with hawk hps pads too for $344 shipped.
