Default Hub Bearing

Do these go bad with time. I have a 98 z28 with about 79K on it. The brake lights are not on but when i turn the wheel I get this noise out of the front driver side. Its kinda like two pieces of metal rubbing on each other. I also get a noise from the front passenger side. That happens when i let the gas go and the car coasts to a stop. Someone here said i had to change the hub bearings on the car but I was just wondering if anyone ever had thes issues before.

Yes, they will eventually develop slop in the bearing assembly and will need replaced. If they get worn bad enough, the ABS light can come on since the sensor can no longer detect the teeth on the reluctor wheel.

its only 3 bolts once you pull the 2 caliper bolts off.
get the car off the ground and rock the tire at 12 and 6 oclock...it should'nt move at all.
