Koni's or a set of Revalved Bilstein's are really all I'd recommend. Exactly which I can't tell you without talking to you in person.

Call him. Bilstein HD's are not recommended for lowered cars. Re-valved Bilsteins (re-valved to fit what YOU want Sam to have done to them) will work.

Can u buy shocks and then get them revalved? How much does it usually cost to get them revalved? or do they have to be revalved when u buy them?

...and you've got to figure out HOW you want them re-valved. You don't want to guess wrong.

I have been looking for shocks also. I want the Koni's but the cost is close to a grand or more. The non-adjustable one are less but are still costly.

So is it really 100 a shock, because i saw strano selling a set of revalved bilsteins for $550. I guess than it would be better to get those than. Instead of buyin the shocks and then spendin another 400 to get them revalved.

It's $530/set not $550 for Revalves.
HD's are $349/set.

And sure, you could deal with Bilstein directly on the revalving (which saves you about $40). However, you do have to know what to change, and why.... Considering that I don't do just one valving, it's not as simple as you'd think. I not only change the amount of damping, but often times the shape of the damping curve as well. Basically you are buying the shocks from me and I'm adding the consulting service for the rates. And all Revalves are done @ Bilstein to my specs, which actually offsets the $40 you'd pay by ordering HD's and then incurring freight to ship them *back* to Bilstein for the work to be done. It also adds more time to the process.

Hi Sam,
How would these work on a 2001 Camaro Daily Driver? Would I need to change my stock springs? I am at stock height and want to stay that way.
Thanks,
Bill

Revalves can be revalved to do a number of things. Yes, we use them on drivers, and yes from time to time on stock springs when the person is looking for a very crisp handling car, but without the cost or option of adjustment like you get with the Koni's.

Frankly, I do feel Koni's are the wisest option simply because you have so much flexibility and won't ever find yourself with a shock not capable of working with the springs you have or the way you want the ride/handling balance to be.

Would you recommend the non or the adjustable Koni's?

no such thing as a non-adjustable Koni.
