Default Custom 15" Brake Kit!!!

I have finally finished my brake kit! It started almost 1 year ago by calling Precision Brake Company to order a full kit, and I had too much money burning a hole in my pocket and ordered a 15" Brake Kit. I will not go into detail with the issues I encountered with the company, but lets just say it took a LONG time to even see any of my "ordered" kit. All ended Okay with the company, but I ended up designing a lot of my own kit. I got all the parts for the kit and the fronts originally had the BSL6 calipers but they looked too small on 15" rotors so I exchanged them for Wilwoods new TC6 (Truck/SUV) caliper (IT IS HUGE!!!). I designed and machined the new brackets for the front and I also designed all the aluminum hats and had them made by a local machine shop (I am a mechanical engineer with access to a waterjet and many bridgeports). I had a lot of fun building the kit and learned even more about brakes and all the mechanical needs. I know they are complete over kill, but with all the supercars out there with 15" Brakes I wanted my soon to be white trash supercar to have them. I am also adding SJM's ABS delete kit with the proportioning valve to adjust the line pressures. Enough writing here are the pics...
Front (19x9.5 Forgeline wheels with 275/30R19 Pirelli's)

Rear (20x12.5 Forgeline wheels with 345/25R20 Pirelli's)

Sorry I couldn't get any full car shots seeing it is raining here in the great NW.

Front Caliper w/pad=8.5lbs
Front Wheel & Tire=50lbs
Rear Rotor=16lbs
Rear Caliper w/pads=4lbs
E-Brake w/pads=2.5lbs
Rear Wheel & Tire=62lbs

What is the deal w/ the dual calipers on each wheel in the back? I have seen them on Jaguar X-type R's and XKRs, as well as Ferrari's.

I would think that you would want more breaking power in the front, where all the weight shifts. Why not do the dual calipers up front and the singles in the back?

Is it all for looks?

the smaller caliper is the parking break setup.. which is endependent from the rest of the brakes

Unfortunately I haven't been able to drive the car yet! You can see in the pics that the rotors still have the zinc coating on them. I'm actually a little nervous about how sensative the pedal will be. The brakes are 57% improvement over stock (with increased pad area and mechanical leverage) the rears are probably about the same increase. I will not be giving them REAL testing until I get my coilover spring rate issue figured out up front. I've got QA1 double adjustables front and rear with 170's in the rear and 325's in the front, and after talking with Sam Strano they are a horrible mismatch for handling. Thanks for the comments, the rear E-Brake setup is the Precision Brake design, that is about the only part of the kit I didn't have to alter "very" much.

That is pretty awesome!

I have an idea to add the 14" C6 Z06 rotors to my car using the stock calipers. The rotor itself should just slip on. I'm just a street car and will soon be running 19's so I want something to fill that area, plus reduce the necessary pedal pressure. I don't track the car so heat is not an issue. The key to the design is fabricating the PAB spacers.
