Default Breaking in rotors and pads

Just got my Brembo blanks in from Strano, but the HPS pads I ordered from another sponsor are still on backorder. I've heard it's ok to break in new rotors using old pads, and I've heard it's not good to do that; I've also heard to break new pads in on old rotors, then swap the new ones on.

What's the general consensus here? Should I wait to get the pads in to install my rotors? Can I go ahead and put the Brembos on and put the pads on in a week or two, when they get here?

the way i understood it, when you break in or 'bed' new pads and rotors, a very thin layer of pad material is transfered to the rotor and thats what gives the pads their inital 'bite' while the pads are cold for that moment. and the new pads uses alittle more aggressives compound, with that being said, Id recomend waiting for the pads before you install the rotors IMO
