thoughts on new steering rack...from where? GM sells a remanufactured piece 26062311
Advance also sells a remanufactured piece, except it is about 300 bucks cheaper.
I dont want to go just buying cheap things to save money, but if I can get something cheaper that will perform just as well, then I will. What are your thoughts on this, based on your experience?

Probably very similar.
You probably can rebuild the stock one for less if your trying to save as much money as possible...or even purchase a used one from someone that converted to manual steering and the stock rack is was still fine when they removed it.
