This link has good info on brakes. Might want to reconsider the drilled rotors.

drilled rotors wont make you stop better.. what they will do is crack and make you replace them earlier or eat up your pads faster.. they do look cool tho

If you get a decent drilled rotor and good pads, you shouldn't have issues with cracking and poor wear. Also not driving like a fool helps I'm running Baer Eradispeeds and the Hawk HPS pads mentioned already, with ATE brake fluid and some stainless lines it's a great setup.

Not if you get a decent set. I have 16K on my drilled rotors and they are in perfect condition.

You'll find plenty of info if you search.

Well anybody selling stainless lines will tell you that rubber brake hoses are a wear item; that stainless lines improve braking response by maintaining line pressures and stopping "balooning" of the hose, yada yada. I'm sure it's all true to a point, but unless you're a track enthusiast or you drive like a maniac on the street all the time, I don't think you're going to notice a major difference.

I made this same post a few days ago what drilled rotors are you guys running. What about the brembo drilled rotors the cost looks reasonable.

Brembo Blanks.

Or better yet, get brackets and upgrade to corvette rotors. Doesn't even cost that much to do the upgrade. You get an inch larger rotor and you get a wider selection of pads as well

Not only do drilled rotors crack and chew up pads and slotted rotors chew up pads. But on a street car you need surface area more than you need cooling. Slots and holes cost you surface area and consequently cost you braking.

Remember, brakes work by turning motion energy into heat energy. You actually want to create heat. Yes it needs to be able to go somewhere, it needs to dissipate, but you still have to create it in the first place. That is why there are road-race only setups with carbon fiber or whatever. They can not be used on the street because you never create ENOUGH heat for them to stop you safely.

If your looking for a good pad that's not noisy go with Hawk Hps pads, and as far as rotors go no one will give you the same answer, I myself am most likely going to go with the c5 brake conversion as well as cross drilled and slotted.

Got em and LOVE EM! Haven't had em long enough to really tell, but i have not warped a set yet.

$176 for all 4 is a good deal, IMO. I love my brakes now. I don't mind stopping... ... I'll be doing some autoX in the spring/summer... so we'll see.

I was thinkin about ordering the c5 kit tomorrow with the powerslots and the hawks I heard good things about hawk pads. Never get ebc rotors they suck lol had them on my last car the fade was terrible would of been better of with blanks and they also made noise the slots did. Not a squealing noise just a light noise when the slots go by and it got annoying.

I bought my drilled/slotted/Zinc plated rotors off ebay for $170 and the two rears were in brembo boxes. I ran them for over a year on my 570Rwhp ss and gave them hell a few times with no problems at all. They looked identicle to the ones some of the guys in my club bought from Irotors for over twice the money.
