About to install C5 brakes...will my wheels fit.
I am about to install my new UMI C5 brake upgrade kit, but I am hesitant, because I don't know if they will fit with my ZR1's. The wheels' measurements are 17x9.5's.

76ls1 can you post some more pics of your car, I'm having a hard time picking any other rims besides TT2s. with the spacer they don't stick out to much? any rubbing issues? and how close with that spacer is the caliper to your rims?
also do TTMs have the same fitting problem?

was close (1/16), as the pads wear there is more gap.
Good luck Dale

yeah its the offset of the rotor that you need to look at.. the Fbody rotor sits the calipers farther away from the spokes of the wheels.. the corvette rotors push the caliper closer to the wheel..
on a side note.. i hope everyone knows that you DO NOT NEED THE CORVETTE CALIPERS to use ANY brake bracket on the market!.. you just need the Corvette abutments (or caliper carriers) and use your Fbody calipers.. i did this last night with my Kore3 brackets.. this should save some people money on the swap..
rotors, brackets, and abutments is all you need.. i paid total..$220 total for everything.. but i didnt get these at all one place..

Now, you can start off with the bracket/abutment(?)/rotors/stock calipers and then switch the Corvette calipers later.
Also, if the rotors are bigger and there is more area, do you lose some braking area by using the Fbody calipers w/ the corvette rotors?
