Default owned a brembo blank

Finished up my c5 upgrade, bedded the pads, and have done little else than a couple spirited corners. No track use and one weeks driving to work and back 16 miles a day on the mostly on the highway in a straight line. Think I might switch over to duralasts lol

Wow, that is not very encouraging for me as I was going to Brembo blanks for my next brake change.

In all fairness, it could have been the result of a defect. That happens to even the best. I was kidding about the duralasts. The brembo blanks are a bit cheaper than the duralasts for me so it's a no brainer based on Brembo's rep. The rotor is going to be replaced it looks like so I'll just try another one. The other one looks fine.

I've used many brembo blanks with race pads. So far, I've not ever cracked one. However, it appears that you got them pretty hot when bedding them, or that's my guess. If you get them hot enough and let them cool rapidly (air cooling can be enough), it is possible to crack any rotor.

Hmmm....Brembo blanks and stock pads on all 4 four corners here and they are great. Hopefully that was just a defective rotor and not a sign of things to come.
