Revalved Bilsteins Or Koni? For A Lowered Camaro (1.3")

Koni if you want to be able to change settings on the shocks or plan to ever change springs. Downside is they are pretty expensive! Revalves if your on a budget and because they only work with whatever springs they are valved to. Don't get me wrong they will work regardless with whatever spring but they will dampen correctly and last longer with the springs they were built for. I personally have revalves with my Prokit and love them! Night and day difference compared to old blown decarbons. Also the price tag convinced me.

I voted Koni because I have them and they are the "better" shock of the two, but they are of course pricey. Suppose I shouldn't have voted without knowing what you want to do with the car. Are you ever going to want to stiffen the shocks up for road race, or soften them up for street driving and/or drag use? Noticed a little difference when I softened the fronts up all the way at the strip.
Bilsten HDs will be fine if you don't care about adjustment or don't ever plan to change the springs. It is nice to be able to easily tweak the Konis a bit for different driving styles though

Konis if you dont mind adjusting until you get the settings you want. The rear are easy to adjust at least for 4th gen konis. The front is annoying to adjust.
I'm getting Revalved Bilsteins next time I need to replace my shocks.

Sam Strano (www.stranoparts.com) has revalved Bilstein for $530 and Koni SA's for $740 or $848 depending on which rear shocks you get. You might be able to find them for a few bucks cheaper somewhere else, but Sam has top notch customer service and will take the time to help you dial the shocks in based on your setup and his extensive experience.
