Default Where did you get your alignment done?

Seems like nobody wants to mess with a lowered car! Where can I take my car if its lowered? Where have you guys had a good experience at? Can't I do this myself? I see a lot of alignment products like camber bolts etc etc from Summit Racing where it seems like one could do it themselves. What do you guys think?

$60 at the dealer. You can even give them numbers you want.

anyways, where can i find comfortable specs for my car if it has prokit springs and stock replacement shocks? i just want to roll up in there, give them the sheet, and let 'em do it. shouldn't take long, right?

I got mine done by the "speed shop" mechanic at the dealer
back when they were still operating that way. Dialed to specs
I got here. Big dealerships will have a good drive-on, laser
blah blah blah alignment rack. Thing is, keeping them on plan
and not letting a know-it-all mechanic push you into a factory
setting. Should be able to get one that will do what you say.
I got mine done as part of the springs-and-K-member install
at which point it was really a necessity.

Dealers are just another shop, with delusions of grandeur. You
have to ride them like any other horse.

I had my alignment done at Sullivan Tire, but they are a New England chain and you're in TX.

Here is a sticky on alignment specs:

BTW, my car is not lowered.

I dont' see why anyone couldn't do it. No real differences other than the alignment guy actually has to change camber and caster instead of just setting toe.

I work at a Chevy dealer...so basically lucky enough to do my own.
I also set mine at
+ 5 caster
- 1 camber
0 Toe

really only have probably a good 1500 miles on it, but definitely handles good and tires are wearing perfect.

I get mine done at Sears for free

I have a couple of buddies that work there and they hook me up. Not to mention they don't go by the useless factory settings
