Default Bilteins or Tokico shocks

I'm doing a ground up restoration of a 1988 IROC-Z. It came stock with bilstein shocks and struts. I already bought front Tokico shocks for it. Would it have been better to stick with Bilsteins or are Tokicos good? I heard they are pretty good? I want the front and back to match, I picky like that.

The Bilstein's are far better dampers than Tokico's. However, I'm not clear on if you're asking about new vs. new or new vs. the old ones.

If you were buying new, I'd tell you Koni's since their two options bracket Bilstein on price for 3rd gens. The Tokico's are ok, I had some Illumina's (adjustable) on my '91 1LE--for about a week and they went away because they didn't drive as well as the Bilsteins or Konis (which I also had for that car).

I'm asking about new. Should I get new belsteins all around or will it be a pretty good ride with the new tokicos all around?

The ride will be ok, the handling isn't world class.
