muffler shop weld SFCs ?

muffler shop weld SFCs ? A buddy of mine asked me if a muffler shop could weld in a set of SFCs on his T/A.I told him i really don't know,but i could find out.
Do they need to be welded by a performance shop or could the average Joe with a rack and welder do it.
Please advise.

Having seen the quality of welds that your average muffler shop puts out, I'd be wary. Is your buddy local? If so, have him talk to Brad or Dane at Brad's Custom Auto in Lake City. They'll take good care of him.

Re: muffler shop weld SFCs ? The suspension has to be under load (the wieght of the car, as opposed to full droop). This ensures that the SFCs are welded on at the exact points they need to be since the body does flex slightly.
