Default Just installed new rotors and lines.Ever heard of?

Well I am taking a chance on some rotors I found online. They are from a company called irotors. I ordered fronts and backs as well as pads. They look great and for the price it was hard to beat. They are cross drilled, slotted, and zinc washed, they came with carbon metallic pads. I have no idea how good they are.I got the set for 418.00 shipped.I hope they turn out to be good brakes. I also installed Earls lines at the same time.Anyone else out there running these brakes? If so do you like them, any comments would be reassuring , good or bad . Hope I made a good choice, I will keep ya posted.

I run the same rotors and brake lines with good results. Well worth the money.

Any updates on these rotors? Quality, fit, warpage, etc...?

I found them on www.iRotors.com

Thanks

Quality is good; cast iron, stock size. They're a direct replacement. No warping or cracking after 15 track runs this year. I also did some high speed blasts with no or very little fade. I'm happy and get many compliments on them.

Here's a pic.

I'm really gonna look into possibly getting a set soon. When I took my car to the track the stock brakes didn't seem to be all the great anymore, and the stockers like always keep warping. Tired of going to the dealer to have them re-cut, and they cut em too much at that.

BLKTA - I did want to ask you since your using this combo, I'm assuming your using the same pads as the poster bought? But how is the dusting, the stock ones don't dust much which I like.

I use the newer formula stock pads with no dusting.

Great looking rotors!!! Finally there is a good alternative to the Eradispeeds & they're less than half the price!

BLKTA, are your rotors zinc plated (silver)? They almost look black in that photo. Any rusting on these rotors? How many miles so far?

Thanks

The picture was pretty dark, so I had to adjust the contrast. I don't believe they are zinc plated. The color is just like a standard rotor, but I did paint the hub area on all 4 rotors "cast iron" color. This was to minimize the light rust that appears when the rotors get wet, which is my only complaint, but they're iron so they will rust. I put the rotors on in January and have put about 3,000 miles on them with zero problems. I paid $280 (on ebay) for the set shipped, but I believe they raised the price.

Hope this helps.

I just noticed on the irotors website that orders placed by the end of this month get silver zinc plated for free (costs $50 for all 4 normally).
The PowerSlots I had on my '98 were zinc plated & held up great. It was even a daily driver & they never rusted at all, so I would assume the zinc plating on these rotors would be just as durable.

I'm ordering some, they look as good as the Eradispeeds and they are half the cost, plus the free for July zinc plating, hope they are not on permanent backorder like the Eradispeeds.

Mcflyz28, before you put in your order, lets try to get a group purchase in on these. If we get four people in then we get a 10% discount. That is good enough for me. 30 bucks is 30 bucks. I'm 100% without a doubt ordering them on Monday.
Nineball you want in? 99MongooSSE? MadIce V8? They are only $298 and that is including the zinc plating if we order by July 31st. $270 for front and rear crossdrilled, slotted and zinc plated rotors is an awesome deal. Email me at v6camaro@aol.com if you want to put this together. Thanks- Mike W.

No I'm still in. I work retail and had to close Sat. night and open/close today. I'm going to talk to irotors tomorrow morning. I was planning on ordering them tomorrow regardless because I need them soon but if we can get the gp then I'll hold off.
The only thing I'm wondering about it that the ad says that it will save on shipping by ordering 4 or more implying that the order needs to be put on the same tab and shipped to one place. I really don't want to have to put an order in for four of these things and then ship to you guys individually to save $30, hope you understand. I'm going to see if we can't just call up and state that we are in on the 'LS1-tech' GP. I just don't see that working because they will have to discount us at the time of purchase not giving them a sure deal that everyone is going to come through. Or, we could pre-place our orders and once everyone has done so they can bill us then. Anyway, I will see what I can do. $270 would be rediculously insane. Almost to the point that even if they did only last 15k we would break even. Everyone should have mail. Thanks- Mike W.

BTW: We will start placing orders tomorrow (monday.) All orders have to be in by Thursday or we lose the free zinc-plating which will defeat the purpose of the GP since it costs $50. Thanks- Mike W.
