I'm bleeding - need help!

I bought a Myti-Vac a few years ago and have not used it yet.

Apparently. from the criptic directions this is a device that can be used to SUK brake fliud from the brake calipers. (I was hoping it could be used to force fluid "up" from the caliper to the master, however. - Oh well!)

1. Can bleeding brakes with the Myti-Vac be done with a single person?
2. Do I need to de-press the brake pedel to get fliud to move from the caliper to the master?
3. Are there any other issues that become apparent from using this device?

Thanks,,,,,

You need a brake fluid "catch can". I made one from a metal-lid jar
and some barb fittings and pipe-thread nuts. Then it's pretty simple,
crack the bleeder about half a turn off the seat (threads don't suck
air but fluid can come out), put vac hose over the nipple and go at
it baby veal cow style. When the fluid runs clear (presuming it's now
a crusty brown, though this is just how my beaters are by the time
I change fluid) you're done, tighten it before the fluid lets a bubble
back.

I must be a retard, never have had good luck with the Mighty Vac thingy . . . air always leaked from some where.

1. Done mine by myself with the Mity-vac, worked well when new but after is sat a couple years the hoses would not seal well on the bleeders - took an inch or so off of the end of the hose connecting to the bleeder and worked fine then, but probably need to replace the hose(s) every few years.....

2. See above, Mity-vac pulls the fluid through no need to pump the brakes

3. See 1. ;)
