Abs Inop, Brake Light, Trac Off

Wow, I didn't realize how much of a nightmare that this issue could be. I cleaned up the grounds, checked brake light bulbs, replaced rear sensors and still nothing. Only thing I notice for me is that the ABS inop and trac off stay on all the time, ABS definitely does not work and brake light comes on, only once I start moving. ANy thoughts???
I feel bad for anybody with this headache, its not an easy one because of all the variables

Mines just started doing this! ABS/TCS came on once last year then disappeared then came on again 2 weeks ago but with E-brake light this time, turned car on/off went away then yesterday ABS/TCS lights came back on, now they won't go away even after leaving the car and restarting it.
It's damn annoying! every time I solve a problem on this car something reappears to take it's place

Something occurred to me today! This is not LS related & I don't know what bearing it may have on the issue, but a while back we had a problem with our Volvo! TCS,02 fault light and another I can't remember came on! this stumped us for a while(car was stumbling but ignore this), but the TCS had the same issue with the button light going out & not responding.
We replaced one after the other plugs, coils then after a few weeks of not getting anywhere we were told it could be the maf! ordered a new one, installed it and one by one after ignition cycles the lights went off!
Now I have no idea why it affected the TCS light & I know all cars are different mechanically & electronically but could it cause the TCS light to come on & effect other systems in the process?
I'm just throwing this out just to look at other angles.

Every time I had this problem, it was a wheel speed sensor on the rear.
Usually just the reluctor ring either getting gummed up with bits of metal shavings and dirt, or a wheel bearing failing and letting the reluctor ring eat the sensor. Replaced the sensor and clean the ring... worked perfectly.
Maybe the ring isn't lined up right with the sensor?

If your troubleshooting doesn't work it, it's a bad ebcm. Pick one up on ebay for $40 and you will be good to go.
DIAGNOSIS & TESTING
NOTE: To diagnose ABS/TCS, manufacturer recommends using Tech 2
scan tool, DVOM, Universal Pinout Box (J-39700) and Adapter
(J-39700-530).
The EBCM has self-diagnostic capability, which can detect
system failures. Diagnostic trouble codes stored by EBCM can be
displayed using scan tool. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES.
Begin ABS/TCS diagnosis with PRE-DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTION procedure.
PRE-DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTION
When checking potential ABS/TCS faults, check following
before performing diagnostic trouble code testing.
1) Check ABS and HAZARD fuses in instrument panel fuse block
located behind left side of instrument panel.
2) Check ABS fuse in power distribution fuse block located in
left front of engine compartment.
3) Check all ABS/TCS wiring harness connectors for proper
engagement, loose wires or terminals and/or corrosion. Check harness
routing paying particular attention to wheel speed sensor wiring
harness routing.
4) Ensure brake switches are properly adjusted (if
necessary).
5) Check brake system for leaks and proper fluid level.
6) Check ABS/TCS ground circuit for clean tight connections.
Ground is located in left front of engine compartment, in body and
instrument panel wiring harness.
7) Always perform diagnostic system check before diagnosing
DTCs. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK.
Solenoid valve relay is turned off by EBCM when a diagnostic
trouble code is set. Using scan tool to monitor data list when trouble
codes are set, solenoid will be displayed as being off. This is normal
and not an indication of a system malfunction.
EBCM performs an automatic test during each ignition cycle
when vehicle speed reaches 4 MPH in either forward or reverse gears.
Automatic test cycles each solenoid valve, pump motor and relays to
check component operation. EBCM will set a trouble code if an error is
detected. Test may be felt and heard while it is taking place and is a
normal mode of operation.
eh screw it i'll just upload the manual as an attachment.

I'm having the same problem. ABS inop and TCS off lights. I've had this problem for a while and it's intermittent. VERY dangerous problem to have... if anyone finds a solution, PLEASE post it up...

Just bought my first LS1 car and I have the same issue. I think mine is a ground because I have flickering lights.
But another thing that came to my attention today is that I cant program my alarm (yes Im doing it right). So now I think there is a possibility that it could be the BCM, no?
Oh and it only comes on when voltage hits 13 (if it already isnt on)..

My car I just picked up has this problem as well, previous owner told me it was a fuse problem....guess he lied to me about that. I will have to read though this and try the above and see what happens.
Some people have had this problem for years now, so my question is...is it that serious? Or is it just another one of those annoying light stays on situation but the car is fine? aka my brakes wont fail on me at random haha.
My car is completely stock btw.

Get codes read! I didn't throw a service light & codes didn't show on my Aeroforce gauge, but updated and plugged in EFI and C0110 showed up.
Don't know if it was something that just got knocked or a fault caused by the vibration I've been getting over 60, but I cleared it & it hasn't showed again & no more ABS/TCS dash light problems.
Beats throwing money at something you don't need

I had the same problem and did alot of research on the matter. Like hlaalu said the general consensus for the abs lights, tcs off, etc. coming on intermittently is more than likely your EBCM. These go bad usually due to cheap relays used inside. These can be rebuilt for around 100 bucks and that is usually what they will replace when rebuilding them. If your lights are on all the time it might be something else. But the easiest way is to take it to a shop with a tech 2 reader and you will know right then and there what your problem is no hassles. Just remember that a normal obd2 reader will not be able to read this stuff.

Well my car hasn't been driven for 5 yrs and now that I'm trying to get it running again all three lights stay on. I did change the brake booster, master cylinder and bled all four brakes. Ohh and I also put 17x11 wheels in th back... I guess I will just get it scanned.
