I just ordered a set for the wife's SS last week. I've heard good things about BMR and Hotchkis springs.

I'd suggest taking your time here and doing your research. Pictures of cars and technical info (spring rates, weights, etc.) are things you want to learn about.

well I already have them on and they're pretty stiff.(not a bad thing) just wondering how they compared to others in ride quality. I have LTs so I needed the littlest drop possible...otherwise I would have gone with your springs

what was your final drop measurement?

i've looked at BMR for the same reason. with TDs and 315s i need to be careful.

not to mention i have BMR all around already...be nice to keep that theme.

Bear in mind that the drops are approximate. My springs tend to really be about 1" in front, 1.25" rear. But that varies depending on the car. Most cars on our springs run 26" front, 26.75" rear when measuring ground to fender on stock diameter tires. Most LS1's start @ 27"/28".

I won't lie, I think the BMR's are workable, I just don't think they are ideal. I didn't think anything really was given all the things I've messed with which is why I spent the time and money to have springs made to suit me. They admittedly might not suit everyone, and if I'm honest I do believe you could do worse than BMR's.

I almost went with the BMRs, but I wanted a more substantial drop so i got a set of Sam's springs. I think with LTs you made the right choice by getting the BMRs. The stance isn't exacly my preference, but these are perfect for people who need to keep their drop to a minimum and maintain some ground clearance.

What shocks are you on? Are you looking for better ride quality or what?

The smallest drop you can get would be Koni's on the lower perch with stock springs (which is also the best ride you can get when lowering as well because you keep the softer stock springs). The shocks ain't cheap, but you also gain control and lessen impact harshness with them vs. stock. Or SLP springs, but I don't find them to handle much better than stock springs and Koni's.

It's my job to know... Knowledge helps recommend the best parts for the job. Anyone can say "buy this". It's harder to know what options exist and why some things are good, and why others might not be ideal.

Nice looking car.....one thing to remember is that what is perfect for one persons driving style may not be for you. It comes down to what you are happy with and your goals for the car.
