They tell me my tie rods are shot and need to be replaced. No problem, but I am curious, they also say our cars are hard on the outer tie rods?
I bought a set of moog tie rods and plan to install them over the weekend. I figure it will take me a couple hours to do it.

I can't comment on if our car in general is hard on the outer tie rods but my stock ones went out after 50k.
Replaced them with Moogs and haven't had a problem after a couple thousand miles. Steering felt much tighter after the new tie rods were installed.
