Best street /strip torque arm?

Best street /strip torque arm?
Looking for a torque arm that will perform and hold up well at the track, but will still be street friendly. I dont see the car to be running any faster than low 11s/high 10s when Im done with it, so I dont need anything serious. Im looking for one that doesnt use the stock mounting location because I will be running the 200-R4. Thanks

Get a Spohn arm, they have a crossmember that bolts in were the factory tunnel brace where youre y-pipe mounts. It is very meaty but if you get it with poly bushings it is not loud, and if you break this thing you have some serious horsepower.

A friend of mine broke his Spohn arm on a road course while downshifting.
He also hit a piece of road debris and ripped that thin sheet metal body piece off the car.
The TA mount is definitely beefy ... just where it bolts to the car is suspect. And the weak link is that slip joint.
While they are in one piece, they definitlely work great ...
No flame intended, just passing along personal experience.

I had the R/T tq arm for a few years and it never clunked, never bent, and was awesome. I cut 1.48 - 1.53's with my car for the last two years.
I like the BMR stuff too, just never had the chance to try it.
I have mixed feelings on Spohn, seemed like some of the early stuff was noticeably clunky.

Thinking about going with a Yank crossmember which holds your existing TA and eliminates the tranny mount.

Ive heard that the older ones were bad, but I also heard that the newer versions are much better and eliminated all problems. Maybe ya'll just got one of the ones that was in the bad batch...but who knows, Im in in right now for the feedback hoping soon it will help me make a decision. By the way, whats "clunky" about them?

I dont know for sure, but doesnt the RT torque arms use the stock mounting location? If so, then Im looking for one that uses its own crossmember or one that doesnt use the side mount on the tranny. Sorry for the confusion, I thought that I made that clear.

Another option is the Yank crossmember which will work with most aftermarket TA's and do away with the tranny mount. It's also adjustable which would work great for a fixed TA.
The only thing is its a little pricey ($300) but if you find a used TA, it will be about the same price as Spohn or BMR. A new Edelbrock TA is about $150.
