Rear Springs are shot in the Firechicken
As the title says the rear springs are shot in my 96 DD Firebird. Being that it is my DD and i live on crappy roads I dont want lowering springs. Already have enough trouble as it is. As of right now I do carry around a full car load of people(some how everybody crams in) once in a while and its basically sitting on the bump stops. Also with just me in it I have problems with the bump stops on bad bumps too. And now for the part that im never gonna hear the end of....I have a hitch on it and tow my 08 raptor 700R with it. I have only towed with it twice since i just got the 4wheeler. So what im wondering is that if newer V8 fbody springs would fit in my 6 pack. If they do I was lookin at some stiffer ones to help keep it from bottoming out when i have people and when i am hallin the raptor around. But if I got stiffer springs does than mean it will make it sit up higher? I know mine are saggin now so that it would obviously go up some.
I have found that my stock rear springs are rated for 95lbs/in and that 98-02 V8 springs are 114lb/in and then the 1LE springs are 130-180lb/in. Would all of these springs be interchangeable on my older style fbod? and which ones would work the best for me if so?
Also are the 1LE springs included in the WS6 package in 01 and 02?

If you tow, I know MOOG sells a rear spring for 3rd gens, which is the same, for cars that tow or have added weight in the back.
I think they call them cargo spring's. I believe they are linear instead of progressive for the rear. These springs may make your car sit higher in the rear.
