Yes, you always want to test the waters before doing any type of radical modification. With the air ride suspension I want to be able to lower the car onto the ground. That is why I want to tub all four wheels. I'm just trying to decide where I want to have the final ride height.

I thought it was understood this was a PS. I just wanted to see if folks liked it or not. I guess my Photoshops skills are better than I thought.

Here is the car as it sits right now.

Well, I actually did lower the rear about 1/2 inch since this picture was taken. It still looks too high to me, but I don't have any problems scraping on anything.

By the way, the rims are 19x10 with a 285/30 front and a 295/30 rear.

Using this method I really don't see any reason that the fender would need to be repainted. That will save you $500 in paint work right there.

I see what your saying fully, but where u cut it, wont that leave rough edges either way, and require some smoothing and paintwork? I just really like the look of it and would hate for it to look half done or rough. Plus the edge would be very sharp with out that lip and if the tire ever made contact or rubbed coudl do some hurt.

I'm sure you could recreate the archs using excess material and the correct fusor along with lot of sanding and sculpting.

Either way I like the outside of the box thinking.

No, you can cut it with a razor blade and it will be a very smooth cut. You can then use a dremel with a sanding drum to feather the inside edge. You just have to be careful not to overheat the plastic or it will start to melt. In my mind this edge will be somewhat sharp but it's just not strong enough to cause any damage to the tire.

Stance and car looks amazing.. What size rims? They're almost getting to the "to big" size for me, but still pure sex

Love the SOM calipers too

The rear vette rims have a deeper offset than the f-body and usually require spacers to fit. The rims I have are replica's built for the f-body cars and simply bolt right on. I don't remember the offset but I started a thread on them back in april. I have a lot more details and pictures of the fitment.

in that pic its kinda hard to see becaue the car is black so it kinda hides the gaps, do u have pics from any other angle? or in better light?

So you're one of those people that evaluate the stance by looking at the wheel well gaps? I do that myself. I prefer the wheel wells shaped like a perfect circle instead of the flat topped look of the stock Vehicle. Even though the rears are still shaped like stock it looks fine to me.
I only made up that one picture, if you can't see the gaps your monitor might be set too dark. Here is a lighter version.

Oh ok, now I can see them, and yeah thats how I determine stance.
Damn that looks like a perfect ride height! if you can do it, I say go for it...

He told me 18" Fikse FM5 knock offs, but they look bigger than that to me.
