mechanic took off rear sway bar?
i had my dual exhuast welded up yesterday, and when i get home, my rear sway bar was in the hatch? he said that he couldnt get the exhaust on with the rear hanging when the car was lifted bc it was in the way...and that it will drive fine with out it. this seems like a load of bs as i expect that the car will handle like **** if i got on it??? i've been driving it the bare minimum i need, is this something that i need back on asap?

i really would hate to take my car back to these guys, i feel like they are not going to do it for free... the exhaust under the sway bar is not even 4 inches above the ground...

Of course, everyone knows that this is bad, but just as many people remove their upper panhard brace to run a dual exhaust over each side of the axle. I don't think that is necesarily safe either...but who am I except for another person shouting at the wind?

what if they wont budge from the "the exhaust wont fit with the sway bar" bs? what do i do then? im sure that i can raise the rear hangers of the exhaust, making the sway bar able to go on...i dont want to turn this into an exhaust thread basically i just need your opinions of how to handle my lovely situation.

the deal is they took on the job. Did you tell them to do whatever they could to get it on? Did they ask you what they should do when they came to that snag. IT doesn't sound like they did and they just took shortcuts to get it done. I would ask for my money back or they should pony up and fix it.
