LCA's or Panhard Installed wrong
 

I just installed BMR LCA's (tubular) and an adjustable Lakewood panhard bar.

I drove the car about 200 hundred miles with no noise, but now it is starting to rattle something terrible from the rear end. It almost sounds as if the panels in the bed of the body or bolts and stuff are rolling around in the trunk (if I had one).

I torqued all of the bolts to spec.

After reviewing previous posts on same subject, I torqued the panhard bolts to at least 100 pounds, then took it for a drive. It actually sounds worse.

I used the original bolts with the BMR LCAs. I did not buy
bolts from BMR as they said they were not needed. Are there special bolts that need to be used?

Any ideas?

They are coming off if they are going to make this much noise. Now I am embarrassed to have anyone ride in my car because the noise from the rearend is so bad.

I did apply grease, etc.

What ends are on these: rubber, poly, or spherical?

You sure all the bolts are tightened? Look around for other things down there that could be loose. Check the adjuster bolt type thing in the phr, make sure that is locked in tight.

JD13 you were correct

The adjuster nut had vibrated loose. I guess that check twice, tighten twice doesn't work as there is a lot of vibration back there and they can vibrate loose.

I will try some locktite red on it. If that doesn't work, then I will double-nut it so it won't come lose again.
