Default installed strano / koni today pics before and after

installed alot of shiz today, installed koni 4/4 with strano springs bmr control arm , lca relocation brackets(welded) and adjustable pan hard bar.

i also did the heater hose mod in the rear which i think may have lowered it to far.

so i think i will go back up with it a bit, the ride is nice but travel is limited in the rear . acceleration feels a bit differeent , i cant put my finger on what but its not any slower nor faster. i know it looks awesome in the rear with the meats(315's) but i would like to get the front to look the same if i can , but the way it rides i think going up on the rear is the best answer.i put the rear shocks a full turn from soft and the front 4 sweeps from full firm

i didnt have time to get an alignment but ill do that tommorrow

here are the pics,

BEFORE

after

IMO, the rear is too low. Raise the rear to have the rake stance.

yeah i think i went to low in the rear too. the ride will only be better if i go higher with the added travel

the tails , i can do them i have done all my cars and for quite a few memeber on the truck sites.

i charge 100 bucks shipped. but the thing is i dont have core lights for the dumdumdumdum's i only have a truck lights . if you send me your tails or a set of any tail you want i can have them done in a day or two and have them sent back.

Yep adjust the rear a little, anyway can't go wrong with koni's and Sam's springs, your car looks great, just need tips.

wow...like you said that stance looks awesome!!! i have the koni's out back with hotchkis pro springs without the heater hose mod with rolled fenders and banged the **** out of the wheel weld and i still cant seem to keep the tires from rubbing. Pretty sure the 315's are rubbing on the outside. Do you have that problem at all?

i got them to rub a bit but its only when i accelerate hard on a turn from a stop ( like getting sideways) and it rubs a bit but i dont think there is anything i can do to help this. i will pull the wheels off again to see where im rubbing and get the bfh out again.

thanks for the replies guys this car is my DD so i hope i can withstand the ride .

i have the ss pictured in my sig and it rides awesome but isnt inches from the ground , but it can also spank the camaro like a little girl .

mine rubs against the fendr under acceleration and under quick turing. I might have to place the ride to full stiff on the koni's. This is how mine sits but i thin the hossier 315 are one of the widest tires...if not the widest of them all.

You might try rotating the rear springs 180˚. I did it on my springs and it raised it just enough. Doesn't sound like it would make a difference but it did

With the rear spring, make sure the pigtail at the bottom is pointing out the back of the car while sitting on the cup on the axle.

I have the same size wheels and stance. The front will get lower after a month. I thought my rear was too low but then the front dropped probably 3/4" and I love my stance now!. As for the rubbing, once the inner wells are beat in, get a fender roller and roll the fender lips. It took me 30 minutes per side and I have ZERO issues now. My front shocks are at 4 1/2 clicks from soft and the rear are one click off firm. I like the ride and the look. Oh and don't try to lightly tap the fender lip to roll it. More than likely you will put some dipples in the panel and break your paint.

well put the rubber spring stops back in the rear and its much better. it sits just about even the front may be about 1/4 higher.

its weird though my car feels slower. and today i heard a somewhat different howl in the rear of the car when accelerating on the highway only in 6th gear( i have aftermarket 4.10s) they have made some noise since day one but it doesent bother me.

You guys are probably hearing the U joint howl at the rearend because the change in the pinion angle. An adj torque arm will take care of it. On a side note I had a lowered S-10 that did the same thing for i know 60k miles with no issues.

Looks good, but I have to agree on the rear being too low. Looks like you have very limited suspension travel as it sits.

IMO the front needs to come down some more and leave the rear, I like it slammed.
