Default stock swaybar and moser 9" issues

Is there a way to shimm the swaybar so that it sits lower? its resting up against the 3rd memeber on my rearend. Ive grinded it down almost as much as possible and its still rubbing. Im not sure if thats what's causing my rear to be so jumpy over bumps and potholes. any ideas?

It's just a lot heavier. Get used to it. It will never behave like a 10bolt unfortunately

You can put two muffler clamp bracketss on one u-bolt to space it down further. You might have issues at the ends if you don't space down there too.

i don't see how it is possible for the swaybar to rub up against the third member...the housing, yes. as you can see it rubs on my housing as well

We offer a set of swaybar mounts that drop the bar down more for clearance (part # SMK006). The only way they are offered is a weld on version. Here is a link to the page thay can be found on-

http://www.bmrfabrication.com/F-bodySuspension.htm

Even with our mounts sometimes it is necessary to have to modify the 3-tubes that the torque arm bolts to slightly with a grinder.

i did grind the bottom tube down already. my ubolts are already welded on, so i guess ill have to grind those down too if its normal, then im not sure what else is causing the rear to be so unpredictable. its worse on the right side, but also noticeable on the left as well.

Spohn makes a kit to remedy this. It uses big saddles to move the bar down below the rear-end. Check the Spohn site under suspension stuff. It sells for about $75 and you don't have to weld it on.

I have the weld in BMR relocation things on my nine inch and they work nothing is touching, it's real close on one of the torque arm tubes though, this is with a stock swaybar.

Mine rubs the housing a little, but I'm going with the spohn kit here shortly. Note that it includes new endlinks as well.

I installed my mounts on the axle so they angled towards the back a bit. Just enough to keep the bar from rubbing the dif case.

so then let me ask this. would that cause the rear to be very jumpy and unpredictable over humps and dips? or would it be the lcas, adjustable phb, or torque arm?

Someone with a lot more knowledge than me would have to answer. I'm not having bad problems like that. I've got Koni's on back, a 9" with a locker and 35 spline axles, Strange Pro case. I am getting some wheel hop still but the car handles fine. If I had to guess, I'd say you have a shock issue.

I would check to make sure all of the bolts are tight on the lower control arms and panhard bar first. I would then make sure the bushings are in good condition. If I can be of any help just give me a call here at the office

well im running blistein hds out back and they're not that old. I could see one going out, but both? I changed out the bushings on the right side lca, i still have to do the driver side. The PHB im sure could use some new ones as well.

Old doesn't matter if they just aren't right. If they are newer than about 1.5 years, they are messed up valvings for a 10-bolt, let alone a heavier 9".

It *could* be a lot of thing... most likely it's not anything more than shocks not up to the job.
