Default good ballpark pinion angle for drag racing?

I was thinking about modifying my stock torque arm to give the car some negative pinion angle. I'd like to know what seems to work as my mod will just change the angle- it won't make it adjustable (but at least it'll be free) - here's what I had in mind:

I was thinking about splitting mine vertically just before the rear end mount and welding it back together on a jig. I'd weld in some mild steel tubing in the grooves that run the length of the torque arm to reenforce the area where it was cut and re- patched.

Does the old rule of thumb for 2 deg. negative apply for our cars? I'm running drag radials and am shooting for 11's n/a in a full weight car (A4).

I'd not go past 2 degrees (negative). I'd probably shoot for -1.5, that gives some room for error. Just my thoughts.

I ran my Random Tech tq arm at -2.5 and cut 1.53 - 1.57 with a 346ci and 1.48 -1.52 with a 422ci.
