Default Torque arm bent??? (PICS)

I have been having a popping sound coming from my 99 camaro 6 speed car when I leave from a stop. Sometimes it doesn't do it, but when it does it's loud. I can feel/hear it the entire length of the car. Again it only does it from a stop, and it feels/sounds fine while driving. Tried the search and read a bunch of threads about the torque arm being bent.

Thanks
Troy

Mine looked kinda crappy like that but noise was from broken transmission mount.

I thought i had a issue with my driveshaft, it sounded like the driveshaft was either whacking off the tq. arm or tranny was trying to escape from my car.

$9 tranny mount later, problem fixed

If the torque arm is bent it will most likely throw the pinion angle off and you'll get a vibration.
It could be a trans mount, torque arm bushing, even an engine mount causing the Y pipe to bang under load.

Can you be more specific about where the popping sound originates? Is it from the back? The front? Under the driver's seat?

It could be something as simple as a lug nut that isn't torqued down correctly or a LCA bushing that's worn out.

Replaced the trans mount today with the Energy Suspension mount. Noise is gone!!! Thanks for the replies.
