doing a brake job what do i need?

Question doing a brake job what do i need?

got rotors, pads, brake fluid, and went ahead and got braided lines do i need any bearings or seals like older cars or what? ive never done a brake job on a car like my 02 SS when i bought it the dealership did one.

May be a little late for ya if you were doing this today. There is no need for any bearing parts, these have bolt on hubs. You will need a good socket set and a breaker bar, or pipe, or air tools to get the caliper brackets off to access the rotors. Other than that, a buddy to help bleed the brakes(since you are doing hoses) would be a big help.

Don’t forget to check the pins, make sure they slide nice and smooth.

Make sure you have threadlocker to help secure the two bolts that screw the caliper in to the caliper bracket pins.

You'll also want to replace the stamped metal hardware when you put on the new pads to make sure they don't squeal.
