good springs that wont drop you too far. and by far very good shocks. not the stock pieces of crap. then if you want you could do an adjustable phb and just go from there.

after purchasing good springs you are going to want an adjustable panhard rod as mentioned above to center up the rear end from side to side. you may also want to look into lower control arms and LCA relocation brackets.

here is a link to BMR fabrication, just call them up and they will hook you up.
www.bmrfabrication.com

they also have adjustable lower control arms, relocation brackets (bolt in or weld in) and adjustable panhard rods on sale until april 7th
here is a link to the thread
https://ls1tech.com/forums/sponsor-sales-specials/882534-tax-refund-sale-bmr-fabrication-4th-gen-suspension-parts.html

you could save 110 bucks if you purchased this stuff during the sale

For looks all you need are springs.
For performance you need good shocks and an adj phb.

you can always buy one later. a panhard bar is not %100 necessary.

i drove around for about a month on my prokit before ordering and installing my umi adj panhard bar. the rear was off center by almost half an inch, and felt ever so slightly floaty on long sweeping curves in one direction but incredibly stable in the other.

my fronts, which were ~ 50% at time of install lasted another 10k miles. ill be doing new tires, balance, and alignment as soon as i finish off the pirellis.

Heres a side view of mine with just springs, I have had it like this for a few months no problems. The key is getting a good set of Eibachs, some of them squat real bad in the rear and then you have to send them back to get them checked and hopefully they will get you some new ones. All that other stuff will make the ride stiffer and probably perform better, but how much do you take it to a track?

Actually I think the key would be to stay way from eibachs...
A good set of shocks will dramatically improve the ride quality (and performance)BTW.

True, but even if I was not into performance I'd still have a heart attack with lowering springs and stock shocks. The ride is crappy as it already is...

Yes but you said:
"All that other stuff will make the ride stiffer and probably perform better, but how much do you take it to a track?"
I was just correcting you that quality shocks will not make the ride "stiffer" but rather make the ride more firm, but WAY better(less harsh).

Shepp1691,

Your car is just what I needed to see. I will be buying a Z28 or SS within the next month or so, but leaning more towards a Z28 simply based on going prices for a good SS are rather steep. And not to take anything at all away from the Z28s since the SS is basically just the hood and rear deck lid, but your Z28 shows that I can spend less money on the car and the wheels and still looking bitchin....even sinister. The black Z06 wheels are a super nice touch. I give you much props on this car, bro!

The wheels are GM nock offs from a company in florida called OE Wheels, a lot of people have had problems with them but I had nothing but good things. The wheels were only about $380, lug nuts and valve stems included.
