help !! How do I get front hub assy out ???
Changing front studs and would prefer not to bash them out with hub still on car. I have removed the four bolts that hold the hub assy in place but no amont of beating or prying will unseat the hub assyfrom the spindle. I even bolted the wheel on and lowered the jack to put the vehicle weight on the hub with no bolts and it did not budge. anyone got any ideas. I do not want to use heat as it will ruin the seals/grease in the hub assy.

Did you completely remove the brake assembly on that side? As in the mounting bracket that holds the caliper in place? When i did mine i had to beat it out with a big hammer because it had a minor amount of surface rust that pretty much locked it into place. You may try shooting it with wd-40 or some other form of deep penetrating lube and get a large mallet and try to work it out that way. But if you have never had them out they are kind of a pain to get out. good luck

I had the same problem. WD-40 around the circular mating on the back to dissolve the rust - then let it soak in for a day. A mini sledge hammer tap on the back side of the ring that holds the studs got it free. (You won't be able to pull it straight off. Hitting it from the back side of the stud ring creates leverage that should pop it off.)
Although... all this could damage the bearings. The hub assemblies don't last that long anyway. (My OEMs only got me 70K miles.) You might be better off just putting on new hubs with the studs you want already on them.

Thanks All. gave up on removing the hub and made a stud removal tool similar to the kent moore 6227 out of a piece of c channel and a 7/8" nut and bolt. I did not want to used heat or a BFH because I wanted to re use the hub assy.
