Default 22 or 25mm sway bay

Hey whatsup everybody I've been riding without a rear sway bar for a while now. I'm going to be buying a new one but I'm not sure if I should just go with a hollow 22mm unit or should i go with the beefier 25mm bar. I will be taking the car to the strip at least once a month so I need a straight launch. The car should be running 11s on motor 10s on spray. Anybody have any suggestions?

The 25mm bar is pretty thick, but would be better for preventing the axle from rotating opposted to the body. It will make the rear tires break traction quicker around turns since the suspension travel is limited.

im not doing any autocross just regular street driving and an occasional drag strip visit. so i think the 25mm would work out fine. i just want to see if anyone is running low 11s and 10s with the 22mm. if they are pulling good 60ft times with it and leaving straight maybe i'll go with th 22.

Mine runs 11.60-11.70's most of the time.
1.58-1.60 sixty foots.
Swapping nothing but stock rear swaybar to Spohn 25mm bar...

Mine went from this:

To this:

The twisted wheel up launches make for much cooler pics, but car leaves pretty straight now. It definitely makes the car overly "tight" around turns, but that isn't what it's designed for anyway.

FWIW, I'm selling my 25mm Spohn swaybar ($75) since I'm headed in another direction with the car now.

Cool!

Nice pics. It's good to see some evidence for once.

Yes, a 25mm can be streetable, however greater care must be taken when taking turns, making abrupt lane changes, and any type of emergency manoeuvres because they can induce some really nasty snap oversteer, even on an otherwise stock suspension. When the car snaps into sudden unpredictable oversteer, it's really hard to correct and I've seen some crazy accidents happen as a result (on track and on the street).

Otherwise, they're quite good for the strip. I do wonder if anybody has tried a 22mm hollow for the strip to see if it is pretty decent as well (never got a chance to try it out myself.)

I tried both on my 99 TA and definitely liked the 22 better. The 25 would lift a wheel on tight turns. Not good.
