Arrow What rear springs? Wheel hop problem!

What rear springs are you guys running with QA1's? I have what I believe to be the stock Eibach’s that came on my 99 SS from SLP. The car has major wheel hop. If I even look at my gas pedal the wheels start jumping. The car had a BMR extreme duty torque arm and still had wheel hop. I put the stock arm back on it and still hops just as bad. The car also has boxed Metco lower control arms and relocation brackets. This leads me to believe it may be the springs. Maybe they are too soft? Any help would be appreciated.

Actually, it's probably your shocks.. Try a higher setting, but that might not work (won't if one or both is broken).

What it is not is the springs. The hop is the axle being underdamped, and it bounces around.

What are you confused about? The springs aren't the issue.

I have the rears on 3. A lot of people around here say they run them on 3. I will go to 5 and see what happens. How would I tell if they were broken?

It's easier to adjust the shocks than change springs anyway. If you haven't tried changing settings, you need to. I don't really care what Joe-Bob-Billy does, if it doesn't work for you in your case what good is it? Not all cars are the same for any number of reasons. Try different settings, it's not hard.

You can tell a shock is bad because it doesn't control things. Might not look broken, it doesn't have to be puking oil and could still be busted inside.

Thanks for the help. I just got back in. I tried going up one click at a time. I got all the way to 10 on both sides and it feels like just the drivers side is doing the hop. I might just have a broken shock.
