Default What should I be concerned with, suspension-wise?

I have a '97 WS6 that rarely ever sees the strip, but quite often sees red lights lol. and it seems that every time i try to pull out hard, i spin (quite common for these cars, i know). i'd really like to get some traction from a dig, without drag radials because they're quite costly and wouldn't really be suitable for my summertime DD. i'm looking into suspension now, but i do like my cornering ability. so, with 275/40ZR17 Falken 451s on a bolt-on LT1, what would be recommended for a little more bite at a light? I'm thinking maybe a tunnel-mount torque arm?

Tunnel mount torque arm, lower control arms and a good set of shocks would be an awesome start.

ok thanks for the info. will LCAs decrease my cornering ability, though? i am thinking about a torque arm, softer rear shocks, but a stiffer rear sway bar. what do all of you think?

i've read the information there, and i've learned quite a bit. however, i'm trying to piece things together. what size is the factory rear sway bar on a '97 WS6? do you think a slightly stiffer rear bar with slightly more absorbant rear shocks will help bite during a dig and while exiting a corner, all while keeping the rear from rolling out? i never really enter a turn hard, but sometimes try to exit hard.
