Brake fluid o-rings for calipers?

Just wondering if anybody here is familiar with the o-rings that go in between caliper halves to prevent the brake fluid from leaking everywhere. Apparently they are made of special material, not just rubber, that can withstand the abuse of brake fluid.

I am specifically in need of these for the Supra Turbo calipers.

You can see the hole in the middle here needs that o-ring, but Toyota does not make them nor does anyone else. The hole is 13mm across and about 1mm deep.

Where can I find the material to make my own rings? Or who would make these?

Parker (Parker Hannifin) is a major supplier of o-rings. I believe that if you checked on their website, you could find a distributor of their products in your area. You also might look up Grainger's industrial supply. IIRC, the o-ring material you want is called "Buna-N".

Parker yes, Buna no. EPDM is far superior for brake fluid.

If you can't find it, try the following companies:

Eriks West (714) 826-2000

Darcoid Nor Cal Seal (510) 836-2449

Royal Seals (702) 565-4050

O-rings inc. Search for the ph #.

They will want you to buy 50 or so. Be prepared to give them the dimensions of the dia and depth of the groove.

Go to MSC. (mscdirect.com) They sell to individuals, have great service, and ship right away. Just search their site for "Buna 0-ring" or "EPDM o-ring" and you'll get a ton of results.
