QA1's install. Finally got around to installing the QA1's today. The install went really well. Didn't really have any problems. The biggest pain was drilling out the jounce bumper to fit the shock because we really didn't have the right drill bit. It sits really low now. I really like it. Pretty much no gap. I set the **** to six clicks and honestly it rides better than it did before. I only had 55K on the old decarbons but it feels much softer. I thought it would be more bouncy or too stiff. It rides like a caddy as far as I'm concerned and I only have the fronts done right now. I will post some pics of the car after I clean it up a bit.

I actually got a pretty good deal on the shocks from a sponsor. I reused my pro-kit and therefore didn't need the springs that came with the kit however, I did need to get the spring cups. You can work around that by altering the perches that come on the decarbons but I didn't want to mess with that. I spent about $400.

Car looks good, but if your going for the same look in the rear don't do it. You will have virtually no suspension travel and it will ride like a tank. Yes, I'm speaking from experience, my car was slammed on all four corners with QA1 coilovers (used to have the Eibach sport & pro-kit) front & rear (1 1/2 fingers all the way around). I have since moved my front up a 1/2" and the rear is about 1" up. Once you have coil-overs front & rear, it's easy to change your height for different situations.
I'm using 5 on the fronts, 4 on drivers rear and 5 on pass rear for my everyday street settings.

It protects dirt from getting into the shock and I believe it works like a bump stop when you completely compress the shock. You remove it from the decarbons and install it on the top of the qa1's.

It's nice to be able to spin the coil-over up or down independant on each side. I have pass. rear height about 3/8" higher to off-set the difference from the left to right side rears. I also use 1 click higher on the pass side rear to keep the hit equal when you launch on the street/strip. You should be pretty happy to have installed the fronts (hardest part is over

im looking to get a coilover kit for my '00 Z. now i hear that some people do the front first and some do the back.. which one would be the best way to do it? would u want coilover in the front or back? or a coilover and shock or strut combo?

Honestly, the best way to do would be to do them all. But, most of us don't have a bunch of cash laying around. I did the fronts first because I wanted to drop it even more than the prokit. QA1s/prokit with BMR spring cups. I have sportlines in the rear with the stock shocks.

i ended up buying all new hardware for the fronts my factory shocks were stuck in the bearing cup/plate so i just ordered all new stuff, assembled the new parts and installed them it now sits like this
