UPS Rant
So my girl bought one of those fancy remotes that controls all your electronic stuff in the house for her brother as a Xmas present. She lives in apartments on the first floor and the dumbass UPS driver decided it would be a bright idea to leave the package under the small rug at her door. I mean how f@cking stupid could you be. The leasing office where they have always left her packages is before her damn apartment. Why would anyone think hiding a box under a tiny rug would be wise when the recipient lives on the 1st floor and there is a hallway where anyone can walk through and do as they please.
So not only did the idiot leave the package in the most retarded place but he even wrote on the door tag "Left package under carpet" .

They take on a larger staff during the holidays (obviously) so it may have been a greenhorn. That or a dumbass that they just hired to fill a spot and get **** from point A to point B without much care..
P.S. - I love your car.. .. Makes me debate about loosing the ground effects, buying a TA rear bumper and side skirts and rocking out. Still up in the air on the hatch/high rise though..

Ya, I've had UPS and FEDEX leave packages outside my apartment. I dont understand it. I live at college apartment. They are 2 story townhomes so every door is on the first floor. VERY OPEN layout, and usually the package has a box with the company name printed on the side. I am EXTREMELY surprised that noone has taken a package(that I'm aware of). Everytime I'm im expecting a package, I worry about me not being home the day that they come

i hate ordering stuff that i need that comes from free shipping deals. they alwys use ups, and they just dont give a *** where they leave the stuff.
the usps is a lil better, since they will usually take the package back if no is home and no one signs for it. fedex is not as bad as ups.

Yeah, just recently, I ordered some new rear tires for my car, and they shipped through UPS. I had them shipped to my dad's body shop, and the day of estimated delivery, I went up to my dad's shop and waited. On the shipping address, we put the exact address, including the suite number. The UPS driver went to the very end of the strip, and gave the tires to the guys at Alamo. They signed for it, and then realized it was for us. So the driver brought them to me and said "Don't worry about signing for it, the guys all the way down there already did." I mean come on...

the carriers could really care less. by default any shipment to a residence does not require a signature unless is original shipper set it up that way. it is pretty retared that ups left it under a doormat like that. but if it got stolen, they would just pay the claim and it would be done with.

They guy that left it is most likely the regular driver's helper for the holidays. Every year around the holidays eash driver gets a helper from the warehouse or elsewhere so they can get **** done faster. I'm sure those guys don't think about that kind of stuff as they always seem to be in a hurry this time of year, last 3 times UPS has come by the helper ran his *** all the way back to the truck each time.
