i kinda lost interest in the show after attending an all out event at bristol tn...rich made a total tool of himself basicaly bashed most every racer there acusing them of sand bagging....there might have been a few throttle stop cars there but nothing like he was going on about....

I have the issue with Jeff Gilbert's Trans Am saved on my computer. His car has always impressed me, runs hard for a set up that would surprise most people. Rich is ok, does his job. I think of more unfit people to run that show, like Cher.

Hate is a strong word. However, I don't like the fact that not only he, but also his whole crowd of producers, etc. are clueless about cars and racing. At least they were when Pinks All Out came to Ennis. Maybe they have gotten an education since then, but I was racing my car there and a buddy and I went into the tower and spoke with the producers for a while and actually criticized how they were running the event and how they were picking the cars, etc. They looked at us like WTF? They couldn't believe we were criticizing them. I guess too many people just suck their butts. No, I'm not saying we went in there and smacked them around, but we (somewhat) politely told them the whole premise of the event was bullshit. It became very apparent during the 20-25 minute conversation that none of them really knew much if anything about cars or racing. Scott and I walked out of the tower and I said something to him like "these are Hollywood guys, not car guys at all".

As far as hating on Rich or any of the show's producers, naw.
Let's just say the guy is very successful. Hard to argue with that. As some others have pointed out, he has raised awareness and popularity of non-professional (recreational) drag racing.

Rich Christensen had a great idea for a TV show, that became very successful. Its kind of ironic how he hosts a TV show about drag racing, when he doesnt know anything about it. I dont think anyone can disagree with that.

I just like to make fun of the guy because he is douchey, and pretty feminine.

he had a good idea for a TV show and did it... if you had a killer idea for a tv show that you KNEW would make you a nice lump of cash... BUT you werent a guru with the subject.. you just simply wouldnt do it...
no, you would follow through with it if given the opportunity... he is making money, and thats all that matters nowadays..

honestly i dont give two ***** who likes him, or if the show airs.. i dont watch it...

Honestly, I'd have taken a little time and educated myself on the subject so I wouldn't look like a total poseur. Actors take time to research a roll, maybe he should have too. Its drag racing, it isn't a difficult concept to pick up.
