Default Texas headlight laws?

are there any TX laws preventing me from having purple headlights? Im not talking like really purple, but noticable. Theres a guy on another forum that got green ones and he lasted about an hr before he had a ticket in hand. But I do want really purple parking lights. I know purple is a funeral color but the law is....what?

Ive seen some really deep blue ones buzzing around, so muh so that I dont see how they actually see where theyre going, and I know how much trouble one can get in for having blue lights on a car..(police car) they frown upon stuff like that. Of course I had red ones too....and they flashed.

I haven't been able to find any law stating what color headlights have to be. Only things I have been able to find are:

1. Daytime running lights must be white or yellow or any mix of the two (Federal law)
2. No federal law exists that dictates headlight color, only intensity and leveling.
3. Texas forbids red as the only color not allowed on the front of the vehicle.
4. Blue, red, or white cannot be used on the front if it flashes. (see #3 again for red)
5. Engine cowl (washer lights) or fender markers must be amber or white.
6. Marker and parking lights must be white or amber on the front, and red or amber in the rear.

sounds like you can do it as long as the intensity level is good

It is up to interpritation by the ticketing officer and the county Judge you go before when you pay your ticket. I don't know where Saginaw is....but in my part of Texas you will be stopped and ticketed for anything other than amber/yellow lights; they have to shine yellow thru the smoke if they are smoke also. I have people I work with who have the bright white/blueish headlights and they have recieved tickets. You either pay the ticket or you go before the Judge and fight your case and "hope" he sees it your way. Good Luck with purple lights. They neon under lights also gets ticketed where I live.....
