Hey guys I have a 99 Camaro SS and I recently pulled out the engine and istalled gaskets on everything. I also installed a new timing chain and an oil pump. My question is after instaliing the engine back in I drove the car around for a while and my oil pressure gauge was reading around 60 psi. I thought that was great. Well I stopped paying too much attention to it and now it reads around 75 psi. It's inbetween 60-80 psi. That's why I'd say 75 psi. Well is that normal? I have noticed that when I turn off my car the pressure gauge doesn't go all the way back down to zero. It stays around 60 psi. When I turn the ignition switch to the on position it goes up to about 70 psi. After I turn it on, it goes to about 75 psi. What do you guys think?
