Question what would you do?

ok. once again the car is suppose to go the paint shop for the ss hood and ss spoiler to be painted. i have until tuesday to decide whether or not i want to put a stripe on.

i really like the manta but heres the problem.

manta stripes are in gloss black (usually) and i have the flat black berger panel.

so the manta i want is of course on the scoop and then on the trunk lid and it comes close to the berger and is rounded and the 2 pillars on the spoiler are black as well. would the contrast look ugly?

opinions? pictures? i'm thinking about not getting the manta and just ordering and an LE decal to put on inbetween the scoop in flat black to match. LMK what yall think

thanks

I would think that if the two colors are that close together, and they do not match perfect you will not be happy with the way it looks.. IMO

if you add any black make sure its flat, otherwise you'll clash and it'll look poorly designed

i personally am just not a fan of stripes on this car, i love them on my dads 69, but they just dont sit right with me on the 4th gen. just my opinion though.

i'm so confused as to what to do i may just forget the stripe idea for now. some people are saying to do the scoop gloss and then repaint the berger but i like how my berger is flat. then some are saying get the full stripe. i really don't know what i want which is why i wanted opinions but i'm not getting any closer to leaning towards one side.

Right there is your answer...

For now, don't get the stripes. When you can say "This is definately what I want" then you make a move.

I personally don't like the idea of clashing flat and gloss...

I would either go with no stripes and keep berger flat.

Or I would go with gloss stripes and repaint the berger gloss.

Good luck on your choice man and remember this should be FUN!

yea you're totally right. i think i'm just gonna get it colormatched to the car and contemplate a possible stripe later. thanks for the advice man, yours is the best so far

i just can't see flat black on the scoop looking good. it looks fine on the berger but i dunno, guess i haven't seen many do flat black as their manta. got any pics of cars you're thinking of so i might consider this in the future?
