Anyone work on tv's here?
 

I have a couple year old Mitsubishi 52" DLP TV that has some problems and i really dont want to throw a $4000 TV away but people are asking ridiculous prices to even come look at it. Just seeing if anyone on the side could come look at it and tell me what is up with it and fix it. The lamp light turned on a month ago saying it need replacement but i kept using it and then one day when you turn the tv on the screen just goes to black and white checker board and does nothing so it couldnt be the bulb because the picture is still there. any help please!!!!

Dont know.. my bulb light came on once and there is no picture so I have them coming to fix it so I might ask that guy. Mine is 65" Mitsubishi DLP if I find something out I will let you know maybe I can swing them your way on the side.

just pick up a working replacement off craigslist for $275, two on my friends just did

no the point is that there is still a picture which = not a lamp problem...i can get a new lamp for 135 shipped on the net but that is not going to fix it. When the lamp goes out on DLP's there is absolutely no picture it stays black like the tv is off.
