Is it normal for the "low coolant" light to be on after the TB bypass?

Default Is it normal for the "low coolant" light to be on after the TB bypass?

I just did the TB bypass mod, and now my "low coolant" light comes on periodically. Is this a normal occurrence?

I would say it's not normal. I barely lost any coolant while performing the bypass.

Assuming this is an fbody and the system isn't actually low, check the sensor on the passenger side of the radiator. You can replace it or just unplug it. I'm pretty sure unplugging it is what I did to get rid of the indicator.

Well when I removed the hoses from my TB, quite a bit of coolant came out of the TB itself. Could that cause it? Also, if i DO have an airpocket in my system or w/e, then how do i get rid of it?

Air shouldn't cause that light to come on. Check the fluid level. Don't trust the dummy light. If it's low, fill it. If its not, its the sensor. Unplug it or buy a new one.

just check the coolant man. if it's not low, then that sensor went out like they said. that damn sensor goes out all the time, it's a common 4th gen problem. i have that same light on right now as a matter of fact

after you check the coolant level, start the car when its cold, with the radiator cap off. run it until its warm. That should bleed off any trapped air. be careful that the radiator doesnt overflow from the level rising as it heats up.

I have the same light, but it doesn't come on until the car is warm. Seems odd that if it was the sensor why its not just on ALL the time.
