you fire the 91/30 yet? those things kick like a mule!

and just an FYI: I run mil-surp Czech silvertips through mine, and the chamber swells as it heats up and i start to have issues extracting the cheap steel cases. no issues with Wolf 148gr ammo though.

The chamber does tend to get a bit dirty after shooting 20 rounds or so (as far as I know...the 91/30, 38, and 44 use the same receiver). With the exception of all but the most modern 7.62x54r, it's filthy ammunition. It takes a bit of force to work the bolt after you get 20 or so rounds through it. If you keep a brush/cloth on hand to clean out the chamber, that seem to do the trick though.

I've run everything from late 40's brass cased to late 70's steel cased through mine (both heavy and light ball rounds). I prefer the steel cased stuff. I've yet to have one of those rupture in the chamber. I felt what I would describe as a "hot senation" while shooting a brass cased round on one occasion. When I inspected the case after ejecting it, there were a couple large cracks that must have leaked some pressure/heat in a direction other than down the barrel.

If you want an inexpensive safe...check out Lowe's. This was the cheapest one I could find that had any kind of fire rating.

the cetme is made by cai early 2k's i believe, i picked up the safe from academy for 89 marked down from 140. I bought 440 rounds of 70's ammunition that fires great, picked it up for 89$ from j and g sales. ive bought some silverbear also for the mosin and cetme and dont have any issues with well over 200 rounds through each. The 91/30 kicked horribly with the steel plate backing so much so that it was unpleasant to shoot. ive installed a rubber end piece and its much better and fun to shoot. i enjoy shooting the 91/30 more and can get very good groups with iron sites, better then the cetme

I mean I'm down with the weaponry, but its also good to keep them locked up when not in use.

Who knows, there could be kids around...but otherwise- lock, load, and shoot some ****.

Nice! My dad and I have a few few Nagant rifles and we love them! We love our Cetme too though! Funny story with my 91/30, I just got it in and cleaned it and had it out to shoot. I lined up my shot and pulled the trigger.....the rifle went off and sent out down range but the magazine latch on the bottom popped open and the rest of the ammunition fell out the bottom! Once I replaced the spring that never happened again. All in all I've been very impressed with the Nagant over the years!

Some gun ****:

Our Cetme:

Some Nagants / Mauser Kar98K's / M-48 / AR-15

Another Russian, my SKS!:

yeah that thing will leave bruises! **** is heavy too, if you're not shooting it off sandbags on the bench. did you get a bayonet with it? when i attach the bayonet, the rifle is taller than me!
