Default Anyone want to look at the squeaking from my car?

It's driving me crazy. It's bad when I'm cruising on the expressway when it's not very smooth. It doesn't make a lot of noise when I'm a smooth city road. Someone mentioned my springs, and it does sound like it's coming from that area in the front and back.

My moms has this same thing. Do you think it is in the suspension, or in the interior of the car somewhere?

Something in the suspension. It's definitely not in the interior. I would have found it by now, more than likely.

I fought mine for a while before I found the same thing. Finally decided to change the rear shocks to see if that helped. When I removed the foam cushioning there was the nut. Re-installed the nut, problem solved.

Thanks. It could very well be that.

Check the rubber bushing that’s on the bottom of the shock. It’s the bushing that goes between the 2 bolts that hold it to the lower A-Arm. If that bushing tears or dry rots, then you have a metal to metal contact and it will squeak. . It happened to me before.

I haven't had the time. And when I do I'm usually a little worn out or have to work on homework, etc. I mentioned it to my Dad last night so we'll probably take a look at it this Saturday, hopefully. It'll probably be a good idea to grease up the bushings and what not too for starters.
