Default Good place to get forced induction in S.A.

Wondering if anyone knew where to go to get either a supercharger or a turbo installed in San Antonio. Thinking about getting the bottom end forged and maybe stroked out. Want to stay with the same motor. Its going to be on a 2000 Firehawk. Any ideas anyone. Cost doesnt really matter, but there is a limit. Just want it done right the first time. My buddy is bringing it down here to me so I can try and get the work done. Thanks.

Spend a couple hundred bucks, trailer the car to LMR, and get it done right. We're the fortunate few to have a shop like that so close.

I have experienced both shops, both would be able to help him out.

What kind of car and how much power are you looking to make?

EDIT: Just saw the rest of your post. You're going to be in the 10-12k range if you do a motor and all that. Should make over 600rwhp though. Just be careful with the transmission if it's an auto, and make sure you buy a clutch if it's a stick.

Give us a call! G-Force has been a WD Procharger dealer since 2001. We have seen many shops come and go since our opening.

What are the pros and cons between sc and turbo? I want a reliable setup with reliable hp. Able to be driven daily with a good amount of power.

Pros of a supercharger kit are ease of install. We only need your car for a few days. Where as a turbo kit requires more time and money.

Lethal has plenty of experience with the ls based cars. I would give them a call and see what they have to offer. Ask for Danny if he's in the shop when you call.

superchargers have power on demand , turbos need time to build boost.

On a daily driven setup I'd go with twins, keep the rpms lowish when driving around town, no hit to mileage or drivability. Just put the pedal down a bit farther and you've got your power. Twins should spool quick if you have them sized correctly for your needs and setup.

I imagine what he means is with the right twin setup there is pretty much little to almost no lag.
