wanting to get my front suspension installed... hey guys i'm a new member but i have been on here as a guest for years. well i just got got my kmember and a arms, and i would like to get them installed, just not sure where or with who, just i don't want to spend a lot:emb: |
first of all welcome! and second where r u located? |
If you are local to Tomball we would be more than happy to help you out. Bryan |
thank you, im in west dallas |
if its not your DD, then bribe a friend with pizza and beer. i did my k-member install myself, but it would have taken less than half as long if i had an assistant. i just followed the instructions i got from BMR. and if you are swapping out the k-member, it would be a good time to install some poly motor mounts |
i am going to attempt to do it with a friend, also i got umi, are the bmr instructions better? |
I will have some Poly motor mounts for sale in about a week. |
Welcome! to your new addiction ^.^ ja |

give me a call we can help you out |
Pavlock did the upper/lower BMR control arms on my Trans Am, did a great job, no complaints |
i can take care of it for you at the body shop let me know |
hey guys thanks for the offers, but me and my bronlaw just finished today in the morning. we used my dads lift and his few tools very few tools... Also the umi installation instructions aren't as good as the bmr ones |
how did your alignment come out? after my k-member install, the shop got it close, but coudln't get it perfect. i'm thinking since you did A-arms as well, they'd have more flexibility in the alignment. |
took the car to sears for the alignment and it is as straight as an arrow |
installing the a-arms shouldn't be an issue. Kmember on the other hand, a tad bit more work. I plan on doing a tubular kmember when I pull my engine next year. Do they work well with the stock rack? I had a umi kmember in my fox body, but it would only work with a manual rack. |
yeah kmember works with the stock steering rack... but they do have a kmember that uses a different rack, a pinto rack i think |
