Default First night @ hrp with the camaro and the new NT05R

like it says, yesterday I got me a set of the new nitto NT05R , well i was not happy with my times @ the track as I have to learn the cars shift points wich i have to go back to Gforce to see whats up. But car ran ok only was able to make 2 passes and both same time just different mph and 60ft ,
12.3@ 114 with a 1.7 60ft , here is a pic of the nittos

I would reccomend anyone these tires before a Mt they r soft as **** and probably cheaper also . Car has a 11 sec pass in it just I need to learn the shift points and how to launch it with this car... any comments or suggestions would be great! btw these tires were brand new when i hit the track with them I NEED TO BREAK THEM IN lol

That's a good looking tire and nice track times man.

Were you able to hook on them? What size converter are you running?

If you are running a 4L60E, you should be able to leave her in Drive and then just stab and steer. Let the PCM handle the shift points for you. You definitely don't want to manually shift an A4.

Was it hitting the rev limiter or something?

Lol r u sure about that? Its a drag tire for drag racing , it came out to compete with the MT dr. I done my research a lot on these and that's why I bought them.

To answer ur question james its a circle D I believe 3800 or 3500 stall , built 4l60e , yes I manually shift it but when I left it in drive and let it shift itself was shifting at 6k and needs more rpms!! Lol so the second time I ran I manually shift it and got a 1.7 60ft and 114 mph , all my mods r in my sig,

Mike no its not bouncing of rev limiter just needs more rpms when I left it in drive and let it shift itself its shifting at 6k and I need it a little higher lol .. so ill be going to u soon to get that chane , im gettng my 11 sec pass before i spray this ho lol

Also last night went out to a meet to run a 11.7 cobra and a full bolt on cammed c5 z06 and was dead even with them and manually shifting it but at 6500 rpms bitch moves at those rpms

Lol , I seen him at the track last night and was talking to him about them , btw this is a super soft tire so I don't really think they r going to last lol

did you flash the stall? or hold the rpms at a certain rpm?

different stalls like different methods.

alot of people think if hold the stall at the highest rpm you can without breaking the tires loose that it will yield you the best results which is not always true. try a few different methods and see what yields the best results for your converter.

Yeah damn the new tires they didn't want to heat up FML! Lol , I didn't break them in as much as I should of lol I put them on @ discount there in baytown and drove to the track lol did a couple hits on the highway but that's it. I think I just need to break them in a little more and I should be good , and learn how to launch
