Default Anyone know of a good shop in Dallas?

I posted this on the Intro/newbie board, but it's not really getting any traffic.

I recently moved to Frisco, TX from Tucson, AZ (back in March). I've got a mostly stock 1999 T/A. Since I moved here, I've noticed a 20% drop in my MPG as well as a much rougher idle and yesterday the "Service Engine Soon" light popped on.

It can't be just bad fuel (originally what I thought it might be) since it has happens from multiple brands. I've been back and forth to a service/dealer in McKinney, but a buddy of mine from back in AZ recommended putting up an SOS on these boars with the hopes someone knew of a good specialist for LS1 engines (why didn't I think of that .. ).

Thanks in advance!!

I would recommend either SNL or Simple Quick Racing. Both of those shops know what to do when it comes to these cars.

we'd need to know the code that it was throwing inorder to have any real advice.

go to autozone, they will pull the code for free.

odds are, its just an oxygen sensor, but it would be a list of things. post up the code and go from tehre

get the codes pulled at autozone first and report back to us, they usually print out a diagnostic.

my guess is your down an front primary 02 sensor. they are easy to replace, you can do it yourself or take it to a random shop like drivers edge or firestone and have them charge you $60 labor to do it.

i just replaced the fronts on my t/a, i was getting 16mpg and now im back up to 18
